Boy Scouts have the opportunity to work on earning two differnet merit badges in a college setting with professors or professional in their chosen field. Each boy may sign up for two merit badges and 2 alternates. These classes are limited to 20 per class, so sign up early.
Bring your own lunch and merit badge books, along with pen and paper. There are vending machines for drinks and a few stores near by for food.
Argosy University in Sarasota is our host of this event. They are located at Honore & 17th St. in Sarasota. We will be in "A" Classroom complex.

As of February 23, 2010 the following Merit Badge Classes are filled and now closed: Computers, Citizenship in the Community, Family Life. The following merit badges in the morning are still open: Citizenship in the World, American Business, Architecture. The following merit bages in the afternoon are open: CItizenship in the World, Architecture, Salesmanship, and Law. Entrepreneruship may have to be cancelled (afternoon).
For Citizenship in the Community- a good film to watch is "Its a Wonderful Life" with Jimmie Stewart. |
